Discussion:

Discussion on Membership fee collection focused on how best to collect the fees and whether state organisations could collect fees and forward to National body. Some uncertainty exists around renewals.

Discussion on Vic branch members trialling two new prototype spinnakers during upcoming season (when trialling new kites a DNF should be registered). Suggested Vic members could trial kites during season to provide a solid basis for information on shape, power, shoulders and usability of each type. Results to be documented and presented at the next National AGM for consideration

Discussion on how best to embrace new member and make the E fleet a more pleasant and friendly environment for all at Elwood.

Discussion about updated website at www.nationale.org.au and the need for responsible stat and national bodies to provide guidance on data to be updated and the source of data. Any suggestions from member and public welcome (along with boat pics).

Discussion on State Titles 2008-09 brought about a concensus for dates November 15, 2008 two races at Elwood SC and February 21, 2009 TBA away weekend.

Discussion on Hosting Nationals 2009-10 at Elwoood SC.

Actions:

Notify NSW National executive that notices of renewal have not been sent. Raise topic of best way to collect fees at next national AGM (Dan Osinga)

Collate information from members who trial prototype kites throughout season. Provide completed questionnaires to National body at next AGM as a solid information base on a way forward for possible future class performance enhancement. (Tim Dorning, Mark Foster)

Provide pre race instruction on a variety of topics that members may require such as boat handling rigging. Help other sailors with their boats at race end. Crew exchange program for information sharing. (All)

Contact National and state bodies to clarify what they want out of the updatd website, where the information should come from and who should provide it. (Dale Hammond)

State Titles Sailing Instructions to be provided by Tim Dorning. Notice of Race will be used from the club at which the event is held.

List of suitable venues to be provided for State Titles (John Frey)

Last year's State Titles will be presented on opening day with BBQ and Trophies.
